What a guy and what a shop! After having a mechanical while riding at Glentress I called I hoping for a replacement pawls for my rear hub! He dug out a box of used freehubs and sorted me out! He saved my weekend and as I driven for 4 hours from Guisborough with my 6 year to ride!I will be back and I will recommend t9 everyone I know!Thanks!!!
Absolute legend! Day one of three days saw a snapped hanger. Let us and the boys create a gangster hanger using his tools. A true professional modification. Ragley piglet down, now a piglet ready to razzz! Great service, lovely guy, was only bike shop around to help us create the gangster hanger.

Friendly local bike shop with great service. Also able to organise a voucher as a gift at very short notice which arrived next day in the post.
Short summary: good workmanship, but terrible communication.Long story: I dropped my mountain bike in for a comprehensive service (thinking that a bike shop near Glentress would be MTB specialists -- not really), then heard nothing for 3 weeks. I phoned up and was told it was nearly ready and they'd call me -- they didn't. So I went in to see what was up and was told that the bike (which was sitting outside unlocked) was ready. It didn't _look_ ready, and indeed after one frustrating short ride I returned it with a list of complaints. It transpired that the message about what I had ordered had been garbled between staff and they'd just done a cosmetic tune-up of all the knackered parts that needed replacement. To their credit they were very good about taking it back... but I again heard nothing for weeks. Another phone call: "oh yes, they were meaning to get in touch with you but aren't in right now". More weeks passed and no-one ever attempted to contact me. Eventually I went back to Peebles, and my bike was there (sitting outside again!), gloriously repaired to a very high standard and with a large (but fair) repair invoice. Happy with the end result, but not the process to get there, and I'll go elsewhere in future.
