O. M. G peebles had to be one of the nicest places to visit and the tontine for us is our place to stayLike most! our food plays a big part in our stay and have ate in lots of places in peebles and have never been disappointed Until however we tried the panna Indian restaurant We never usually write reviews however this is on the fact it was horrendous I am a great believer in your own opinion but speaking from a huge curry experience I have never experienced anything like the panna from start to finish The owner begged my husband to stay for main course and just pay what we wantWill say no more but some of these reviews must be a wind up Make your own judgement but if you don't want to take the risk avoid Hope this helps x
Loved it. They were under staffed when we went but they pulled it off! I would defo go back there. Food was brilliant and byob so added bonus.
First review I have ever written!Me and my wife are regular visitors of the tontine hotel in peebles and are curry mad!We were advised to go to panna by a member of staff and as I am not one for complaining I will keep it simple! it was absolutely horrific! To the point my starter had to be returned and the main was not much better!The owner begged us to stay for the main as we were ready to leave after the starter so being the people we are said okay!The only reason I have written this is since then I have been to the prince of India and it was really nice and noticed panna had a better rating! This must be an absolute wind up! Just my honest opinion
I have previously ordered take aways from here, all orders have come with wrong ordered food but food normally still good however this evening food was terrible and also order wrong again. When I called for them to rectify the issue they said they couldnt do anything, bad service! Would not recommend!
My wife and I had an absolutely lovely dinner here. Great food and wonderful service. Easily one of the tastiest Indian restaurants I've ever been to! Highly recommended! Oh, and the bhindi bhaji was amazing!
